Welcome Day Event for New Immigrants
Saturday, September 10th 2022, 1-3pm at Guelph Public Library Downtown Branch
MPP Mike Schreiner is hosting an event to welcome new immigrants to our community!
There will be introductions followed by a brief overview of the supports and resources that the MPP office has available for constituents. This will be followed by a Q and A session and mingling!
Snacks, beverages and provincial keepsakes will be provided.
On Wednesday, March 31st Mike hosted a telephone townhall with over 3000 constituents to discuss issues facing Guelph and what constituents wanted to see in the Spring Budget. Mike got to speak on a number of issues that are weighing heavily on our community including affordable housing, health care funding, mental health resources and the expansion of ODSP and OW support. MPP Mike Schreiner is hosting Dr. Nicola Mercer, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health CEO and Medical Officer of Health, Helen Fishburn, CEO for Canadian Mental Health Association Wellington Waterloo, for a one-hour virtual info session.
This event will bring you updates about the strategy to vaccinate every person in Guelph as well as ways to maintain your personal and mental health during this last stretch of social isolation.
