QUEEN’S PARK — MPP Mike Schreiner released the following statement outlining his priorities for the upcoming Fall Economic Statement.
“Time and time again, the Ford government puts corporate profits for well-connected insiders ahead of the people of Ontario.
It’s never been harder to make ends meet in Ontario.
Yet, the government continues to funnel taxpayer dollars into fantasy tunnels and pipelines that are decades away rather than taking urgent action on the things Ontarians need now.
As we approach the Fall Economic Statement, MPP Schreiner is looking for real commitments to make life more affordable for Ontarians:
- Build more homes people can afford in communities they love, including deeply affordable and supportive ones;
- Create good-paying jobs by investing in made-in-Ontario energy, home-grown tech and manufacturing;
- Tackle the rising cost of living by investing in lower energy costs, better public services and cheaper, more reliable transit.
It’s time for this government to stop putting wealthy, well-connected insiders ahead of the people of Ontario, and start investing in making life in Ontario more affordable for everyone.”
