QUEEN’S PARK — MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner made the following statement in response to news that two more beluga whales have died at Marineland.
“These beluga deaths – on the heels of so many other distressing revelations coming out of Marineland – should be a wakeup call for this government.
This constant cycle of abuse and untimely death needs to stop. Marineland’s animals must be relocated to appropriate wildlife and marine sanctuaries, and the park must pivot to a model that does not include animal captivity.”
