GUELPH — MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released the following statement to mark Remembrance Day.
“On Remembrance Day, I join all Canadians in expressing my immense gratitude to Canada’s veterans and first responders. Their service and sacrifice has laid the foundation for so many of the democratic freedoms we enjoy today. It is our duty not only to honour our veterans and their sacrifices, but to stand in solidarity with them.
To care for them, their families and all those impacted by the horrors of war. To commit ourselves to peace and justice – now and in the future. To defend our democratic institutions.
Thank you to the veterans and first responders of this province and country for your service and sacrifice. Today and every day – Lest We Forget.”
