  • Mike Schreiner will work to make life more affordable and climate-friendly as Queen’s Park resumes

TORONTO — This morning, Mike Schreiner announced his legislative priorities ahead of the return to Queen’s Park next week.

“There’s no sugar coating it: these past two years have been extremely tough on the people of Ontario,” Schreiner said. “Ontarians are frustrated and demanding solutions to make life more affordable.”

This spring sitting, I will work to:

  • Tackle the housing affordability crisis head on, while protecting the farmland that feeds us and the wetlands that protect us
  • Make mental health care more affordable and accessible
  • Continue pushing for climate action and environmental protections that reduce risks and costs

Affordability is a top concern across the province. Ontarians are paying record high costs on housing, gas prices, groceries and energy bills.

“We have solutions to these problems,” Schreiner said. “Solutions that will make life more affordable and climate-friendly at the same time. But it requires the government to work across party lines and focus on what’s best for the people of Ontario instead of partisan politics.”
