QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner made the following statement after Guelph received $8.35 million from Investing in Canada for transit and accessibility improvements:
“Investing in public transit and active transportation is the way forward.
Expanding cycling and walking infrastructure should be at the centre of economic stimulus efforts across Ontario as we recover from COVID-19.
Once again Guelph is leading the way to show how public transit, climate action, and accessibility can go hand-in-hand to improve our economy and the lives of everyone.”
