QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement after the Premier declared a provincial state of emergency:
“Every hour counts to limit the spread of Covid-19 and prepare our healthcare system for what is to come.
I agree with the decision to declare a state of emergency and restrict non-essential commercial activities at this time so that we can keep people safe.
With only a narrow window to flatten the curve, we must put in place strong social distancing measures to try and limit the spread of infection.
Ontarians are adjusting to a tectonic shift in their lives, and we all must pull together to support each other through these uncertain times.
Thank you to all the workers on the front lines of this emergency and to every individual who is helping family, friends and neighbours during this unprecedented period.”
