QUEEN’S PARK– This afternoon, Mike Schreiner tabled the following motion in the House to expand the size of the Greenbelt to include a Bluebelt to protect water:
“That, in the opinion of the house, climate change and development are serious threats to Ontario’s water, which therefore should be protected by expanding the size of the Greenbelt to include a Bluebelt that protects critically important watersheds, basins and river systems such as the Paris Galt Moraine, Carruthers Creek and the Lake Simcoe watershed.”
