  • Opening of supportive housing at 10 Shelldale

Guelph — MPP Mike Schreiner made the following statement about the opening of the Kindle Community supportive housing project at 10 Shelldale Crescent.

“I’m so proud of how our community came together to build housing with health supports to provide a home for 32 of our most vulnerable neighbours.

This project shows what we can accomplish when all three levels of government, social services agencies, non-profits, community members and private developers work together to build supportive housing.

I want to thank the provincial government for providing key capital funding to build these homes and vital healthcare funding to provide comprehensive mental health, addictions, and other supports for the people who will call 10 Shelldale Crescent home.

We have more work to do to end homelessness in Guelph, but this project and other supportive housing projects will make a positive difference in Guelph.
