  • MPP Schreiner addressed the Ontario Health Coalition’s Annual Assembly

“There is no excuse that can justify the current state of health care access in our province,” Schreiner said. “After seven years under Doug Ford, our healthcare system is understaffed and underfunded. Emergency rooms are overflowing, and people are lining up overnight to register with a family doctor. And Doug Ford’s solution? Make it worse with privatization.”

“We need a real plan to take care of people in our communities – one that puts people before private profits. We need a government that cares.” Schreiner noted that Ontario’s healthcare system is the lowest funded per-capita of any province.

“More needs to be done to support the doctors, nurses, PSWs, frontline healthcare workers and hospitals we depend on every day to care for our loved ones and protect the health of our communities,” said Schreiner.
