On the last day of the spring session, I rose in the Legislature to criticize the government’s decision to adjourn for 21 weeks. To be clear, MPPs will be doing important work in their ridings over the summer. But, as I said in my debate, these shortened legislative sessions are a threat to our democracy. Fewer days in the Legislature mean fewer opportunities to hold the government accountable for its actions.
From your calls and emails, I know you are angry about the freedom of information changes and about seeing tax dollars spent on the island airport and parking garage for a private spa.
