Job Title: Legislative Admin and Correspondence Assistant
Hours: 12 hrs / week
Location: Queen’s Park Office
Job Description: This is a chance to join MPP Mike’s Schreiner’s fun and hard working office. This administrative position involves managing email and letter correspondence, scheduling and associated tasks. The position also requires coordinating with other staff to ensure completion of tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Manage email to ensure proper filing and response to email inquiries and requests
- Draft correspondence
- Schedule and coordinate meeting requests from stakeholders and constituents in the MPP’s calendar
- Coordinate with visitors to inform about public tours, access to the public gallery, and lunch reservations when needed
- Occasionally sit in on meetings and take notes
- Occasionally write briefing notes for receptions and/or remarks
- Ensure meetings are scheduled according to our calendar protocol and during appropriate time slots
- Check and respond to voicemails
- Receive incoming mail and respond, forward, or file as appropriate
- Help with filing, holiday cards and other tasks as required
