QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to the publication of an FAO report showing that Ontario’s 2022-23 spending per capita was the lowest of all provinces.
“This is not a government that cares about everyday Ontarians.
Despite having one of the highest budget deficits on record, the Ford government has repeatedly failed to put forward solutions that make Ontarians’ lives easier and more affordable.
Healthcare spending? Lowest in Canada. Social services spending? Lowest in Canada.
Every day, this government is leaving ordinary Ontarians behind.
I will continue to fight for a government that says yes to housing, yes to public healthcare, and yes to a future in which we protect the people and places we love.”
