QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement regarding Ontario’s small businesses:
“The Premier is turning a blind eye to Ontario’s struggling small businesses.
The Small Business Support Grant needs to be tripled to account for the most recent stay-at-home order.
And the eligibility expanded so even more small businesses don’t fall through the cracks.
The constant flip-flopping, mixed messaging, and half measures has left business owners frustrated.
Some small business owners are still waiting for their very first round of payments which they were promised months ago.
I’m calling on the Premier to commit to a third round of funding to help struggling small businesses get through a third wave lockdown.”
