TORONTO — Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to the 2025 election results.
“Thank you Ontario, thank you Guelph and congratulations to my Green caucus colleague Aislinn Clancy on her re-election in Kitchener Centre!
In 2023 we made history by electing the second Green to the Ontario legislature, and tonight we did it again.
From the day Aislinn decided to run for MPP she has brought new energy to the Ontario Greens and Ontario politics. I look forward to teaming up with her again to fight for fairness, to protect the people and places we love and to build a better, more affordable future in this province we call home.
To all who ran. To all of you who knocked on doors, put up signs, made calls and knocked on doors all over Ontario: I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all are local champions.
There are real and serious challenges ahead for Ontario – when it comes to climate, housing, health care, education and tariffs. We have to do better.
And I know we can.
I want to congratulate Mr Ford.
Greens will do our job to hold your government accountable.
Now is not the time to agonize, but to organize.
In this election we fought for fairness and we will continue to do that, at Queens Park and in our communities.”
