The City of Guelph and the County of Wellington, the federal government, the provincial government and private sector have partnered to build a 32 unit permanent supportive housing building at 10 Shelldale Cres.

This building will provide homes for 32 people in Guelph who are most in need of housing and mental and physical healthcare.

But the operating funding, to support the health care workers who will deliver that care, has not been approved yet by the Ministry of Health.

You can add your voice to others from the community by politely asking the Ministry of Health to support the proposal from the Guelph Community Health Centre and Stonehenge Therapeutic Community to deliver the health care needed for our vulnerable neighbours.

Send an email to the Minister of Health, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs, the Premier of Ontario, and carbon copy the Associate Minister of Housing and the Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, asking them to support the proposal from Guelph for operational funding to deliver wrap around supports for the future residents of 10 Shelldale Cresent and others who need housing supports in our community.

Please be respectful — thank the province for the capital funding to build the homes and ask them to support the healthcare services so our neighbours can move into those homes.
