QUEEN’S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to news that Ontario’s privacy commissioner will release a special report on the government’s record-keeping on changes to the Greenbelt.
“I welcome the Ontario privacy commissioner’s decision to investigate the government’s Greenbelt secrecy.
All along, we’ve known that the government’s story doesn’t add up. From deleted emails to misremembered dates, this government has gone out of its way to conceal the truth from the public.
I hope this investigation sheds some much-needed light on the government’s actions and delivers the honesty and accountability Ontarians deserve.”
