GUELPH – Mike Schreiner made the following statement regarding small businesses:
“The federal government’s announcement of expanding supports for workers and businesses is encouraging, but now it’s Ontario’s turn to step up.
It’s been six days since the Premier announced new restrictions for businesses, but he has failed to announce any details on supports to help these businesses and workers through this difficult time.
I have repeatedly called for a third round of funding for the Small Business Grant, along with expanding the program and making the process easier, accessible and equitable.
We need to ensure that Ontario small businesses and workers have a fighting chance to recover from this pandemic.”
